GF Pantry Reno

The GF Pantry Reno is a day-long one-on-one session with a GF educator in your home and at your local grocery store. I’ll show you the gluten hidden in your pantry and teach you how to find the safe substitutes you need.

Together we will review the ingredients in the products in your pantry and refrigerator and identify the ones that are have gluten. Then we will go to your local grocery store (or stores) and find replacements for those products. Throughout the process, I will teach you what you should be looking at on product labels. We will also figure out how to create a gluten-free area in your home to prevent cross-contamination while you prepare food.

Do you really come to my house?
Yes. This service works best when we work with the products in your cabinets and freezer and find replacements in the places you can shop.

Why would I pay you to do this when I can figure it out on my own?
What you are paying me for is my expertise and knowledge.

You can figure things out on your own, checking Internet sources and reference books. It will take time to collect the information and to sort out the accurate from the inaccurate information on the web, but I did it, and so can you.

It will take time and effort, and in the mean time, you may be eating foods that contain gluten and missing out on foods you want that are actually gluten free. You may be hunting for products that I know about and can help you source economically.

How long does this take?
We can do this in less than a day. It generally works best if we start with your pantry and then go to the grocery store after we figure out what you products you need to replace or want to add. Usually a morning and part of an afternoon, or an afternoon and evening is sufficient time.

Will you do this for me or teach me how to do it?

We will work together to sort through your pantry, and while we are working, I will teach you how to do this on your own. I will also leave you with some checklists and reference material as you solidify your new skills.

What will it cost?
I charge a daily rate plus my travel costs. For transportation, I fly from either Toronto or Buffalo, depending on price, availability, timing, and weather. I will make the most economical choices possible and pass them on to you.
